Young People

At Footsteps, we specialise in working with children and young people aged 11-19. We offer 1:1 sessions, counselling, peer group support, and fun respite opportunities. We also have an out-of-hours helpline.

Sessions are relaxed and comfortable and taken at your pace. We offer help with getting you involved with other services if needed.

Here are a few respite photos to show you how much fun we have. The first respite was held at Manchester Museums. We spent the full day here and provided a free lunch for everyone involved.

Our second respite trip took place at Jump Warehouse in Warrington. It was a brilliant day and gave everyone the chance to relax and forget about all their worries.

Footsteps also held a group at Saint Margaret’s Latchford Community Hub. This was a mask making experience where everyone involved made a mask from craft materials. This allowed participants to express themselves. Everyone felt comfortable doing this as they realised they were all in a similar situation at home. A counsellor was present at this group to provide extra support if needed. Our group found it safe and easy to talk about feelings and worries and receive support.

If you feel you would like support or just a chat to see what we can offer you, please give us a call today.
